What I Like About: Vancouver

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?

Today I want to talk about traveling. Well, this post is a bit more of a cross-over. Like if I never have done this before. It’s between lifestyle and travel. I can’t decide which category it belongs to. At least you’ll know what am I been up to on my trip.

I have done so much in these past months. Every passing day I’ve realized my how much I like this city. There are things that I am going to miss. Things that I do not have back home. If I miss it too much, I can always come back for more. To bad that I can’t take everything I like with me.

These are my  favorite things in Vancouver:
  • Stanley Park: I love Stanley Park. The best experience I had was renting a bike and riding around the Seawall. I don’t regret waiting until Spring and Summer to go there. Just because it that I would like to own a bike again to ride around the park.
  • Roger’s Chocolate: I have a huge sweet tooth. Over the years I’ve moved on from eating chocolates and candy and switched ice cream and cupcakes. So I was curious about this chocolate store on Granville Island. What I didn’t expect to buy $12 worth of chocolate. It is some good chocolate. I was sold the moment I tried their free sample.
  • Vancouver Public Library: This library is amazing. It was not in my plans to get a  library. I’ve never had one, to begin with. But thanks to it, I checked out so many interesting books. I am going to miss this library.
  • Granville Island: This is one of those places that I have visited more than three times. There is a park, art stores, food, and entertainment. Is like a mall but much more organic. Before I go, I would like to enjoy this place one more time.
  • Art Stores: I can not choose one. I am torn between ‘Opus’ and ‘DeSerres’. There is also Michaels but it doesn’t fit in that same category. I have bought so many art supplies from these stores. To be honest, I don’t regret it.  But it is troublesome for me to pack.
  • Outdoors & Community Pool: This came handy during the hot season. I would go to the pool anytime I couldn’t handle the sickening heat. I haven’t been into a pool for more than three years. Thank goodness that I broke that streak.
  • Food: I’ve eaten so many things here. I know that I won’t be able to find these dishes back home. I’ve tried my first ramen and Korean food here. The authentic dim sum has been my favorite until I ate too much of it. Now the Japadog is starting to take its place. I found the best pizza at ‘Uncle Fatihs’, the best burger at ‘Johnny Rockets’ and the best pasta at the ‘Old Spaghetti Factory’. But what I will miss the most is the poutine. In my book, the ‘El Furniture Warehouse’ has the best one.

There are plenty of things left to enjoy before I am gone. I know I will come back one day. Then I can go to all those places that I missed. Vancouver is a wonderful city, there is always something to do. But at the same time peaceful.

After all this, I do want to return and give it another shot. There are so many things that I could have done differently. At the same time, I’ve learned from my mistakes. But my time to go is drawing near. I have many more cities to explore and places to visit. And there are so many projects that I want to start working on for 2019.

And there you have it, a new post of my favorite things about Vancouver. I like this city a lot. It has its ups and downs, but I like it nonetheless. Like I said before, I want to come back. But not before I do this project that I’ve been wanting to do for almost a year now. So please wish me good luck on my upcoming trip and future projects.

Do not forget to give me a visit at my new website The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active. Never forget to add me on FacebookTwitterInstagramTumblr, and on Pinterest. Well, I’ll leave now. Be nice to others and have a nice day!

See you all later and take care,

from Ijiserure.
