Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?
Today I show you another artwork I did for class. Like I always say. I enjoy trying a little bit of everything. This time I had the chance to work with some acrylic paints. Painting is not my forte but the process was a lot of fun. It was fun painting. Someday I will do it again. But most of my paints are for my art journaling. I guess I don’t actually have acrylics and more of the crafter’s paints.
So I took this class almost three years ago. To be honest this was actually my first art class. Something that took me back to the basics. It was a plastic arts class. We did some drawings, watercolor and acrylics. There was also sculpturing but with metals. I didn’t took part on that. That was too dangerous for me. That class left me wanting to do more. Nowadays I am not comfortable enough to get a work done. What is wrong with me?!
As an artist I can say that I’ve learned many thing. It took me years, but now I know. It is sad that I didn’t know this sooner. But I guess it wouldn’t have made such a considerable difference. Tutorials are very useful. You will learn things that you have never thought of. Because of them I know which art supplies are the best. Or what kind of techniques I can do for a specific medium. Don’t forget to give tutorials a try. Experimenting with your supplies also helps.
You don’t go to art school to learn art. You go there to perfect something that you already know. You will learn a few tricks or two. I learned on how to sell your art. No matter how good or bad it is. And also how to make people feel with your art. You go through the fundamentals all over again. The lines, shapes and the color theory. I’ve learn how to do shading. I’ve also learned from other students as well. Watching them do something makes you want to learn too. And they also learn from you too. So don’t be afraid to show them your art.
The quality of your supplies makes the difference. With the right tools and supplies you can make any work of art into a master piece. High quality is not the same as expensive. You have to learn how does your supplies work. There are some are supplies that I want to work with. But not before I learn how to work with them first. If I want to get some good markers. I first need to know how to color with markers first. Just like any other art supply I have.
Never compare yourself or your art with other artists. Some people practice more. Other artists are more creative. There could be many more that only do one type of art. Everybody is good in their own way. Sometimes you see a work of art and you wish yours were as good as theirs. Art is like a person, their are never the same. Unless you dedicate yourself in imitating the art of others. But what is it for then? If I want to do something my own way, why do I need to imitate others? Unless you want to learn their ways and adopt it into your style.
Art is not easy at all. Four years of college is not enough. A life time might not be enough either. The only thing that matters is that you love what you do and do what you want. Never turn art into a chore. Do not put your health at risk because of art. Sooner or later everything will come to you. Hard work and practice always gets paid off. Unless you are a perfectionist and every attempt is not satisfying enough for you. On those terms you will have to find a happy medium. You sometimes have to accept the way your art is. It is perfect art if you deem it to be perfect. But it you think it is not, then it will never amount to be that way.
Never do art to please others. Except when you are doing a commission work. Do what you want the way you want it. You won’t be able to please everyone. There will be some that will not approve of what you do. Most artist create art out of themselves and their surroundings. Your aim shouldn’t be to make others like or accept what you do. In the end you won’t be happy. And you wouldn’t want to do something that doesn’t pleases yourself. Art is a way to express yourself. You should express yourself, no matter what others think about it.
And there you have it another post of art that I’ve done during my college days. I say college days cause that is when I took most of my art classes. I took an art class in high school. All those art works are long and gone. I don’t even remember what I made. Lately I have been pushing myself to keep practicing and making more art works. I want to get better so that is the only step I need to take for now.
So do not forget to give me visit at my new website The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active. Never forget to add me at Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and on Pinterest. from Ijiserure.
