Today I show you another of my artworks. This time it is Garnet Sapphir. It’s a mix between two versions of my characters. This drawing is kinda old so it’s made on regular printer paper. Because I am only using a pen and colored pencils it doesn’t damage the page at all. Most of  my old drawings are on that type of paper. When I was younger I didn’t know any better about high quality art supplies. So as long as I could draw I didn’t care which type of paper or medium I use.

Turquoise is currently my favorite color. And it also makes a great contrast with the reddish hair. Right now I am not liking the gray skirt and shirt. But it is too late to make any changes. Or I am exaggerating too much. So I used basic printing paper, nothing special about it. I colored it with Crayola colored pencils. And black Micron pens, which doesn’t bleed through the paper. What I am amazed about, is how smooth the blending turned out in this drawing. If only other drawings would turn out the same way. I wasn’t thinking about the shadows so I didn’t colored any. The only thing that mattered was the coloring.

I do like making my own characters. And stories about them too. But I do not have a story for characters that represent me. If I one day decide to make “my” character’s story. What would it be about? It is much more complicated than that. Because I am assigning myself a definitive role. Like “if this is my story, then I can’t move on to something else”. Or it’s because I am a changing person and my characters will change along with me. So I can’t give them a story knowing that I will change my mind one day and want something else. I will still be Ijiserure but one day I will not be Garnet or Sapphir anymore. It’s like what happened with Hima, Hasu, and Churippu. I changed so I am not like them anymore.

Well there you have it. Another drawing from what I still have in storage. This week has been super busy for me. Feeling like I live in the university now. Taking classes every single day and getting home at 9 pm. I am so exhausted. But I still made time to make this post for you guys. I still have more class work to do. Soon I will be posting all the things that I have made so far. But for now this drawing is what I have so far.
