Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?
Today I want to talk about another of my drawings. There are still a few of my old drawings yet. But soon I will done with them. There also art upgrades that I want to work on. So many art supplies I want to try out. It might improve my artworks. As I am now, I accept any kind of positive changes.
Like my previous drawings, I made it with the same art supplies. These drawings are quite old. Some of them goes back to 7th grade. But these drawings were made between senior year and 2012. That means a range of 4 years. In 2011, for Christmas I bought my first sketchbook. From then on I stopped making my drawings on regular paper.
These are the art supplies I used for these drawings:
- Regular printer paper
- A #2 pencil
- Crayola Colored Pencils
When you think about it, sometimes you don’t need high quality art supplies. As long you have creativity, passion ambition and talent, you can make most about anything. I’ve seen people do so much with so less. But there are times when good quality materials are necessary. There are art projects that I want to do, and some cheap art supplies don’t go so far.
Lately I’ve kept my eye on things that I want to create. So I have my list of supplies that I want to have my try. So I have chosen a Strathmore Watercolor Journal as my ideal sketchbook. I still haven’t tested it yet. But I am crossing my fingers that it turns out great. All I want is for it to handle the liquids and the inks. No bleeding, and no feathering. Speaking of bleeding, I’ve heard that the Neopiko Pen is excellent for line art. But I will be the judge of that. I want to compare it with my reliable Sakura Micron Pens.
Other art supplies I want to try are, the Dylusions Paints. I’ve read many reviews, they say they worked well with related products. I have their journals and their ink sprays. Decided to try them because I’ve used the Dylusion journals with acrylic paints and it became a total disaster. Still wondering how I am going to rescue the journal from that mistake. My top two supplies I want to try, are the Dr. Ph Martins Concentrated Watercolors and the Chameleon Pens. But the biggest twists is that I’ve opted in using Copic Markers for coloring all skin tones and shadings. I am kinda excited for this Christmas Wishlist.
So there you have it, another art post. I have so much free time, when the sun is still outside. Enough time to work on old, current and new artworks. There ins’t much to do. But at least I can do what I like most, drawing and planning. I still haven’t gotten used to my current situation. I don’t know what to feel anymore. I don’t know what I want. Do I miss something? Maybe. But the only thing I can do is wait until everything gets better.
Do not forget to give me visit at my new website The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page.
