Hello Everybody! How are you all doing today?
Welcome to my new travel language guide post! It has been months since the last time I posted these. So now has come the time to post another one. This year I am going with Italian next. I’ve been practicing Italian so this list is quite a refresher for me. I hope I haven’t forgotten how to pronounce it. Got to make sure all these words are accurate.
I know that there are a whole lot of words. But this is only 1/6 of the actual list. I divided it into six parts because it would have been super long. And nobody wants nor wishes to read through all that. And I think six is a comfortable amount, not too many nor too little.
So here are phrases and words translated from English to Italian:
- Hello: Ciao
- Goodbye: Arrivederci
- Good morning: Buona Mattina
- Mr.: Signor
- Good day: Buona Giornata
- Mrs.: Signora
- Good evening: Buon Serata
- Miss: Signorina
- Good afternoon: Buon Pomeriggio
- Boy: Ragazzo
- Goodnight: Buona Notte
- Girl: Ragazza
- My name is…: Io me chiamo…
- Guy: Ragazzo
- What is your name?: ¿Come ti chiami?
- How are you?: ¿Como ça va?
- Lady: Ragazza
- I am doing/not doing, well.: Sto bene/ Non sto bene
- I am from…: Io vengo da…
- Where are you from?: ¿Di dove sei?
- How long are you in…?: ¿Cuanto tempo sei in…?
- I am here for…day/week.: Sono qui da…giorno/settimana.
- See you later.: Ci vediamo dopo.
- Thank you: Grazie/ Grazie Mille
- Very much: Molto
- Please.: Per Favore.
- You are welcome.: Prego.
- Excuse me.: Mi Scusi
- I am sorry.: Mi Dispiace
- I am an American citizen.: Sono cittadino americano
- Have a good trip.: Fai un buon viaggio.
- Do you have souvenirs?: ¿Hai qualque souvenir?
- Do you sell…?: ¿Vendi…?
- How much is this/that?: ¿Cuanto costa?
- I can only pay…euros/ pounds: Posso pagare solo…euros/ sterline
- I only have…euros/ dollars with me.: Ho solo ….euro/dollari con mi.
- Can I have it for… euros/pounds?: ¿Posso averlo per…euro/sterline?
- Do you have something cheaper?: ¿Hai qualcosa di piú economico?
- Do you have it in a (smaller/bigger) size?: ¿Ce l’hai in una taglia (più piccola/più grande)?
- What time does the shop (open/close)?: ¿A che hora (apre/ chiude) il negozio?
- What would you like?: ¿Cosa vorresti?
I am going to be honest here, it has been a while since I’ve practiced Italian. I still remember a few words. But I’ve been busy learning French instead and I didn’t want to mix those two together. So I took a hiatus from that. I do want to go back to it, but you know how busy I always am. It’s like I can never find time for the things that I like.
One of the places I want to visit the most is Florence, Italy. So this list will be super helpful for me to get around. I know some words, but I don’t know a lot. And I want to travel around Italy so I’ll need it a lot. But that has to wait for later. It is still difficult to travel right now. And I can’t see myself doing so in the near future.
And there you have it! A new travel language guide. I made this quick and I should have. Well, the list part that is. It took me days to write the rest. At least I am learning to use my time better. I work on my posts while at work. So I can multitask and complete more work in less time. So far I have the majority of this month’s post already done. Only 2 more to go.
So please wish me good luck and I hope you have a nice day!
Do not forget to give me a visit at The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active in. Never forget to add me on Facebook, Twitch, Instagram, Tumblr, and Pinterest. Well, I’ll leave now. from Ijiserure.
