Savings Challenge Update

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?

 

Today I am making an update. It has been a while that I have given an update of my savings. It wasn’t since December last year. Wow, how fast does time goes by. We are now almost eight months since then. There are still six more months to go. 
 
There are so many things that I want to buy and do. But money is always an issue. Even though I have I job with a low wage salary. I am kinda lousy at saving my earning. The only way to keep me from spending it all, is by storing it all away in a savings bank account. Which doesn’t allow me to use that money unless I go to the bank and draw it out. I guess it works. Because I do not feel like going to the bank and making such a long queue every time I crave into buying something.

 

 

As you can see at my chart, this is my current progress. I remember when I started with only $250. I am at $4,145 now. That means that there were a lot of things that I held back from consuming. At first I was saving money to have some self control. Then I found a real purpose. I wanted to save for my travels. Now I need to save cause I am going to Canada soon.

I am still planning all the things that I want to you that money for. It keeps me occupied. Sometimes I spend a few. But most of it goes for things that I need at the moment. I spend it on food, on my cat (cat litter and cat food), gasoline, and other stuff. At the same time I am very conscious that I need it to pay for my flight, hostel stay, tours. There is also travel insurance, meals and many other important things. So I can’t complain. In about two months I will be spending a lot. As I will start preparing for my future trip.

There you have it an update post on my travel savings. I am sorry that I didn’t say much. I am not good in money talk. The only thing I could do is ramble about all the things that I can’t do. I only go out to work. Cause I do not want to waste gasoline. I do not go out to eat during my shift breaks. There are a lot of stuff including art supplies I want to buy. But I can’t. That money is important and I will need it soon. But this sacrifice is making me mad. Mad as in crazy. Some times I get tired of it all. I want it to be over soon.
