Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?
Today is a new art post. It has been a while since I last colored in my sketchbook. Now that I have new art supplies, I have forgotten how long it takes to color with pencils. I started at 7 pm and finished at 1 am. I have to keep a note on that. If I ever want to color something then I have to start at an earlier time.
The paper isn’t of great quality so I am afraid of trying out new things on it. If it were me I would have used my watercolor markers. But the damage has been done a long time ago. When I decided to draw on both sides of the paper. That is why choosing the right journal is important.
What can I do? I want to color my drawings anyway I want, without restrictions. How can I do that without damaging the paper and the drawing itself? I found a solution, I am buying a new journal. A watercolor sketchbook.
Then I’ll redraw all my drawings in it. It will be a challenge for me. Not only has my style changed. I use different supplies than what I used to back then. So there will be an improvement. And I hope it is for the better.
So who are these characters?
They are Mineko and Usagi. They are some random characters I made without a purpose. But over the years, I decided to add them to a story. They aren’t protagonists, nor secondary characters. They are the antagonist’s henchmen or pawns. They work for their dark mistress.
In the story, they are the heroines’ mentor mascots. Mineko is a golden cat and Usagi a white rabbit. Before they could find their heroines, they got captured. Now they are brainwashed to served evil. With dark powers, they were also granted human bodies.
Without them wanting to they live to fight against the heroines. The heroines don’t know anything about them. And as any other magical story goes, the power of love and friendship can save them. They create more mischief than real heinous crimes. As long as they ensure chaos they are doing their job. They are perfect obstacles for the heroines, as
I don’t have many details about the two. They do behave as their instincts dictate only more adulterated and sinister. If they are going to work for the big bad, at least they would also be bad. Or the power of darkness is corrupting their minds. Either way, deep down they know that they do not want to cause any harm nor act that way.
So there you have it a new sketchbook art. I am going
