Hello Everybody! How are you all doing today?

Welcome to my new art post! Today I was going to post my Princess of Hearts artwork. But I had to do some last-minute changes. I am glad that I still have a bunch of completed drawings laying around. If not then I was going to be in a real problem. Not only for my blog post but also for my live streams.

I had to change plans. I wasn’t planning to post this artwork so soon. If you watch Sunday’s live stream you’ll know what happened. I wanted to publish my Princess of Hearts artwork today. When I was about to color her during my stream, I realized that the ink wasn’t waterproof. I tried spraying some fixative but it didn’t work. I am glad that I scan my line arts before coloring them. Also that I found about it before I started coloring it. I prefer my art uncolored than getting ruined.

There was a list of drawings I wanted to color in my Moleskine Watercolor Journal. But most of them don’t have waterproof India ink. So I had to find a new list of drawings to color for 2022. I wanted to try some new coloring techniques on it but I still have a bunch more journals to practice on. But I am still feeling disappointed nonetheless.

So I’ve been watching a lot of Huta-Chan’s art videos. They are a Youtuber artist, and they make amazing art. I’ve been wanting to know more about how they do their water coloring so I can get better at mine. Our style of coloring differs a bit, but I know that in some way or the other it will help me. 

I love how well this art came out. And I love the journal too. This is the first time coloring in the Stillman & Birn Zeta journal. So far it has all the things that I like. The paper is super white and smooth. It is also thick enough to handle wet mediums. With only one artwork I like it so much that I want to buy another one. I can’t because I have a lot of new sketchbooks still unused.

This is one of the random drawings I created when I was doing my 2020 art practice. I made a ton of drawings that year. To be honest, I don’t know what I was thinking. But I was still able to create this. Let’s see what I can make next. Like I said before I have a ton of sketchbooks. And I haven’t forgotten about my dream to fill up another whole sketchbook.
