Art Project: Cover Decor

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?

Today is an art project post. I publish these posts once a month. And I make the wait feel worth it every time. When I am not drawing, I am creating these kinds of artworks. They do take a while to make, but the finished product is so satisfying.

What did I do?

On this project, I decorated a journal cover. When I have a new sketchbook, I feel like decorating the covers. Having an empty cover feels like looking at a blank page. You know there is something it can be done on it.

How did I do it?

To be honest, this project was not planned. I decided to remove the cover from the sketchbook pages and spiral wire. Then I proceeded to wrap it around with leftover gift wrap. After that covered it in white gesso and stenciled some modeling paste.

Afterward, I kept adding more and more supplies. There are markers, ink sprays, glue, and hairspray on it. Like I said before, this project wasn’t planned. All I did was make a base. Then I when all out with whatever I had to make it look perfect.

I love these kinds of projects. Where I don’t have to overthink things. And let art go with the flow. If I had planned it, it wouldn’t look at all the way it came out. I want to make more of these soon. I have so many sketchbooks right now. But not all of them have a suitable cover for decorating.

So there you have it, a new art project post. I wish I could start painting and creating art projects like these right now. But I can’t, I have to wait until I am back home. For now, I’ll continue practicing my drawings.

Do not forget to give me a visit at my new website The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active. Never forget to add me to FacebookTwitterInstagramTumblr, and on Pinterest. Well, I’ll leave now. Be nice to others and have a nice day!

See you all later and take care,
