Hello everybody! How are you all doing?
Today I want to show you an artwork that I’ve made for a class. I have realized that I still haven’t shown you any of my class artworks. Why am I showing you this specific artwork? It’s because it was never shown in class. It was the last class project. But the professor decided that all the artworks that we have made so far where good enough. So we didn’t needed to make any more projects. But I did it anyways.
This is a Mandala, well that is that the professor told us. Okay, I actually did my research. This is a mandala. It has so many colors and shapes. I know that they have an important meaning to me. But I don’t remember exactly. I am not planning to tell you every single detail about it. It will take pages and pages.
Let me tell you the list of colors that I’ve used:
Navy Blue
Blue
Black
White
Silver
Gray
Orchid
Magenta
Purple
Golden Yellow
Turquoise
Aquamarine
These is a list of shapes that I’ve used:
Flower with six petals
Half circle
Circle
Square
Moon
Butterfly
Diamond
Six point star
When I created this mandala I had to be in a very high emotional state. So I could dump it all into this. When I say that is has “important meaning”. It means that it has deep details about my personal life. And it contains all the struggles and frustrations that I keep deep inside of me. The only ones that I’ve explained it to, were to two classmates. But it was as recent as I made it. So my ideas and thoughts about it were fresh.
What else can I say? Oh what did I used to make it! This time I used Vellum paper. I needed a smooth paper easy to erase. Cause when I started this project, I knew that I was going to be erasing a lot. I drew it first on a regular paper to make a draft. And when I knew that I’ve liked what I drew, I redrew it on the Vellum paper. I outlined every single detail with a .01 black Micron pen. Then I had to erased all the pencil lines. Good thing I used Vellum paper no? I scanned it, cause I always scan my drawings after outlining them. Then I colored it. I used Crayola colored pencils. It had all the colors that I needed. And I thought that using Prismacolor Premier would make a mess on Vellum paper.
Well there you have it! You all saw an artwork that I’ve made once for a class. I have more. After this I will publish more variety of artworks that I’ve made. Knowing that I am more inclined into drawing, I myself want to try more types of mediums. Right now I am writing this post while attending class. I am not paying much attention to what they are saying right now. Then I will be leaving now and remember to subscribe to my site and on any other social media that I am at. Be nice to others and have a nice day.
See you all later and take care,
from Ijiserure.
