Art Practice 2022: Anatomy

Hello Everybody! How are you doing?

Welcome to my new post! Today I want to talk about something I should have done years ago. Learn how to draw proper anatomy. I want my art to get better. But I still don’t know why I let this go on for so long. All I know is that my art will drastically change after this practice. I am ready for it. I still have a bunch of old drawings for backup while I learn. I have a whole month to practice, but I am thinking about extending it till December.

How did all this start?

Since I was very young I loved drawing it was something I inherited from my mom. But while I was growing up, my parents never signed me up for art classes. They were going to but they didn’t have the time. I continued drawing, I had to learn with the little I had. I remember tracing images from the tv screen with parchment paper. That is how I learn by tracing and watching anime. Drawing with school supplies and copy paper.

It is funny how long it took to find out what a real sketchbook was. As a kid, I would always buy the brands sold at pharmacies. Those are garbage, by the way, not made for the purpose it was meant for. After I had my own money to spend, I discovered better and better art supplies. I still own my two first sketchbooks, the Blue Sketchbook and The Canson XL Mixed Media. After that, I did start to get better in my skills.

As I grew older, I remember being told by my mom to stop drawing because it was childish. The last time I heard that was a few years ago. And I kept doing what I do best, ignore everyone and keep doing what I love. At school, a teacher told me to turn my art into money so I could fulfill my dream to travel. So I designed a coloring book. But I wasn’t confident enough to go through with that plan. I knew I had to get better.

I started practicing drawing each year from 2017 till now. And I can say my art style has been changing a lot. I am proud of myself for all the progress that I have accomplished. But now I have to jump the biggest hurdle. I have to learn how to draw proper bodies. I’ve always had issues drawing poses, hands, and, proportions. Because of this, my art doesn’t look as amazing as it should be. And I know I can do better, I want to do better.

It will be an interesting month. A lot is happening and time is flying by. I can’t way to see how much I’ll improve in one month. There are a bunch of tutorials online. But there was one that caught my eye. I saw one of their tutorials once and I want to give it a try. So I will learn how to draw by watching Mikey Mega Mega tutorials. If I have time, I want to also learn some tips from Naschi.

To Do List:

  • Head
  • Faces
  • Hands
  • Feet
  • Body
  • Poses
  • Eyes
  • Hair

I have a list of what I want to focus on in my practice. There is a lot more in the list of tutorials. But I want to take it one step at a time. And these are the things I want to learn the most for now. Later on, I can focus on the lessons. As of this post, I am already on my second day of practice. It is too early to say anything. But with more practice, I’ll get better at it.

And there you have it, another post. You and I weren’t expecting this one. This is something that occurred to me out of nowhere. I was supposed to post about something else. But it fitted well as this is the begging of my practice. I hope I can make it through till the sent. Sometimes I am not disciplined enough to carry through with this kind of task. I have to make it happen as this is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long while.

So please wish me good luck and I hope you have a nice day!

Do not forget to give me a visit at The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active in. Never forget to add me on Facebook, TwitchInstagramTumblr, and Pinterest. Well, I’ll leave now. Be nice to others and have a nice day!

See you all later and take care,
