Art Project: Stitched Journal

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?

Today I want to talk about a new art project. I enjoy creating this kind of project. It is a break for me. Even though I like drawing, sometimes I need a rest. Why not use that time of rest for something more creative?

This time I created my own journal. To be honest, I hate having to search around for the “best” sketchbook. For example, I go to various art stores searching for the sketchbook that can suit all my needs. If I ever find one, it ends up being overpriced or with not enough pages.

Looking for answers online, I found the solution to my problem. If I can’t find the best sketchbook, I’ll make one of my own. I am going to make my own sketchbook. But first I need to get the necessary supplies.

To create the sketchbook I had to go back to the art store. I bought two different types of paper mixed media and bristol. Both of them were under $8 and they came in pads. Each pad had 24 sheets. Combined together I had 48.

How did I make it?

So I went online and found a DIY tutorial. I watched Sea Lemon’s Tutorial. Following all the instructions, I was able to create a decent book. It took me more than three hours. Lucky enough I didn’t prick myself during the process.

Creating this sketchbook has been one of my top accomplishments. At this point, I am planning to make another book. But this time it will be with watercolor paper.  Which it is much thicker and harder to sow. But we’ll see.

And there you have it, another art project. If I had the time and space, I could make many more art projects. Now that I know what I want to do soon, I will make some more. But we’ll have to wait a while longer for that to happen.

Do not forget to give me a visit at my new website The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active. Never forget to add me on FacebookTwitterInstagramTumblr, and on Pinterest. Well, I’ll leave now. Be nice to others and have a nice day!

See you all later and take care,

from Ijiserure.
