Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?
Today I want to talk about another project of mine. Sometimes you realize that there are some overpriced art supplies. So you try to figure out a way to cut off those losses. Sometimes there are supplies that look like you could make them from on your own.
When I decided to travel I knew that I couldn’t take all my supplies with me. There were things that I needed to use but couldn’t bring. Either they are too large or impractical. I wanted to bring with me a large set of 24 watercolors. The problem was that they came in tubes. So not only would I bring the tubes with me. I also needed a palette. I could have bought a small dry set. But it would cost me more money. And I wanted to use that brand of watercolors.
So what did I do?
I decided to create my own miniature travel watercolor palette. I went to the pharmacy and bought two packets of hard gum. I am not much into chewing gum. So I have the gums away to my friends. And kept the clear plastic containers. I removed the sealing foil and filled each square space with the Watercolor pigment. After that, I let it dry. And that is how I now got a travel size Watercolor Palette.
I do like having a miniature watercolor palette. And I like that I did it by myself and not store bought. The problem is that the brand of watercolor I used is very low quality. I used it once and that was it. I won’t be touching it again. So I guess I will be making a new palette soon. With a better watercolor brand that is.
If you want to make your own watercolor palette this is the things that I used:
- 3 hard gum plastic packets
- 24 watercolor pigments tubes
This all you need. You could find a proper case to store them. But I carry it around with me all stacked one on top of the other. Whenever I want to paint something, I can take out my palette and use it.
So there you have it another of my art projects. There are so many things you can do with art. And it doesn’t have to be all about drawing and coloring. That is why I like to try new things. Things that I’ve never done before but interesting enough to try it out. What kind of project will I present next time? You’ll have to wait until next month to find out.
Do not forget to give me visit at my new website The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active. Never forget to add meat Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and on Pinterest. Well, I’ll leave now. Be nice to others and have a nice day!
See you all later and take care,
