Life Post: October

“Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face.”

Victor Hugo
Hello Everybody! How are you are all doing?

This is another Life Post. This could be another update of what has happened in my life after hurricane Maria. Like I keep saying, I miss my old life very much. Soon I’ll forget how it used to be like back then. I still carry that small hope that in November we start to get some power. As I write this post, I am not sure when I will post again.

Not much has happened since my life went down the drain. My days are long, from 6am to 5pm. And my nights are short from 6pm to 9pm. At home we do things the old school way. We are washing clothes by hand, talking to our neighbors and playing boardgames when we are bored. Now I eat three meals a day, shower every time we feel hot and visit my family every chance I get. Sometimes we get tired of eating canned foods, so we buy some take out. I have started to eat military food. They are better than I expected. Everyday I am looking forward to having some for dinner. Cooking became a science project to me. On Sundays or on my days off I go out to escape the monotony of being at home. We found some Wi-fi but my only focus is checking: my bank account and my shopping cart on amazon.

Each day I worry about my savings. Then I think if I’ll be able to prepare myself for my trip. At least I have three more months left. In less than a week I did all the preparations I could. I can say that I am 75% ready to go to Canada. At work we threw away a ton of melted (spoiled) ice cream and cleaned everything up . After a few days we are now back in business. I missed my weekly paycheck. At work I can freeze gallons of water and take it back home. We have air conditioning and power outlets. Each day I take some electronic to get it charged. That is one of the reasons why I am writing my posts. The only problem is that we still don’t have any Wi-fi signal. So I can’t publish nor update any posts at work.

Where I am at and where I live, we are all fine. But there are places what need a lot of help. I’ve heard (in the radio) that people still have their houses flooded. Others are living as refugees because they lost their houses. Some haven’t seen help for weeks, no food, no water. The US president and vice-president came to visit a few weeks ago. I’ve read that they didn’t do much help at all. I know that it isn’t the right time to blame whose fault it is. But I blame Puerto Rico’s government itself. Because of them we are in this state. The only thing they care about is taking everything for themselves.

So there you have it, October is almost over. I still wish for things to get back to normal. I have already gone through the long queues for gasoline and for the groceries. But in a few weeks it went back to normal. Then there is till the long lines for the ice factory, fast food chain stores and the atm machines at banks. There is nothing much to do. At least I can visit my family again and write my posts. But what I miss the most is publishing my posts in my websites.

Do not forget to give me visit at my new website The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active. Never forget to add me at FacebookTwitterInstagramTumblr, and on Pinterest. Well I’ll leave now. Be nice to others and have a nice day!

See you all later, take care and Happy Holidays,
