Making Stories

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?

Today I want to talk about the other half of my creative process. I’ve made so many drawings in my time. Making a new one wasn’t as easy as it is now. The secret is that I build a story out of it. That is where many original characters come from. Either be inspired by an old story or one that you made up on your own.

That has always been a major factor in creating my drawings. When I make a story my head fills up with ideas. With those ideas I can draw new things. It helps me avoid the same old plain and boring art that I used to make so long ago. With a story involved the drawing gains more meaning and feelings.

To me making a story is so fun. And drawing them is a whole another experience. It feels like I am not making another drawing. I am creating a scene or a scenario. Every idea is an opportunity for me to make a new story.

Making stories is one of the best ideas I’ve ever had so far. Well next to using good quality are supplies. It has helped me improve in my drawings as well. It avoids me from repeating drawings over and over again. Each time I am searching on new concepts to draw upon. Some stories are Sci-Fi, fantasy or Victorian and many more.

So far I have thought up many stories. I say “thought up” because I haven’t written any of them. Still not sure if I will write them someday. But I have many from which to choose from. If this keeps up I will have so many stories that It will be hard to remember them all. So I once in while I decide to write them down so I can recollect all my ideas.

I have more than 10 years worth of made up stories. And I am sure that I will not stop. To be honest I think I don’t remember which was my first one. I’ve made stories before that. But I must say the first one is with my character Hanastasha. Which that wasn’t her name when the story started.

If have had to pick a favorite, it would be hard. If I made the story the way I want it’s because I like it that way. But I say I go back to some stories more than others. So among my favorites are: Epsilon, Harmony & Melody, and Meilihn. Either way it doesn’t matter. I love my stories and making them up too.

Making stories is something that I do now. It does not matter where I am or what I am doing. Always building up my creative ideas. Even right after I go to bed. So you know, some of these stories came from weird dreams I’ve had at night. So I keep thinking about them until they become a story.

So there you have it another of my creative posts. I am working everyday to have all my posts up to date. I still have no Wi-Fi at home. But I am picking up a date where I will start publishing again. I miss my blog and I miss publishing my posts. As of this date, I am 75% prepared for my trip. I need solve some unfinished business. Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and can’t be more hyped about it.
