My Favorite Art Supplies: Art Journaling

Hello Everybody! How everybody are you all doing?

Welcome to a new creative post. I love art journaling more than I thought I did. It is a messy project and I only do it when I have a lot of free time. It takes a lot and not so much creativity. Which is weird when I think about it. But it still makes sense.

Why do I like doing art journaling?

Because it is a way for me to create something without planning so much. I let loose and put on the page whatever I want. The finished project never ends up like the first idea I had. Everything I create I thought of it at the moment. With whatever art supplies I have on hand.

This is a list of all my current favorite art supplies:

  • Dylusions Creative Journal: It is a good journal. It can handle a lot of ink. Well is designed to work that way. And I like it. So much, that I want to buy another one but larger.
  • Dylusions Paints: I’ve started using these. They are good but I haven’t used them as much as I should. At least they don’t stick to the other pages. I will use it more on my next journaling.
  • Liquitex Basics Acrylics: If I don’t have Dylusions Paints then I’ll use Liquitex. But they have a plastic feel. I don’t use it as much as I’ve used to. So I want to try it more soon.
  • Dylusions Inks Sprays: I love these so much. Their colors are so vibrant. It is difficult to use. And it is messy. My mission is to buy all the colors available.
  • Dylusions Paint Pens: I discovered these not so long ago. They are good but I haven’t used it as much. One day I will make a project and write with them all over it. Anything is game in art journaling.
  • Mementos Dew Drops: I have had these for a while, but I didn’t know how to use them. After some tutorial later I’ve learned how to blend. You’ll be amazed by what I created with these. Now I want to buy more colors.
  • Archival Ink Pens: This is what I use to write on my art journals. This ink is very resistant. The least I want is for my ink to fade and spread will all that paint and ink.
  • Glitter: I don’t use it as much. Glitter is messy and it can get everywhere. I try to avoid it as much as I can. But if I have too I will work with it.
  • Liquitex Gesso: This is my rock. From time to time I use it to protect the page or the first layer. Or if I want the paint or ink to stick.
  • Stencils: I don’t have many, but when I need them I use them. If I would I would get some more. Still not used to using them as the shapes don’t come out as it should. But they are do work well with the gesso or modeling paste.

I don’t have a bunch of art supplies for my art journaling. But I am pleased to create something with what I have. And I am fine with that. So far I have created some amazing projects. I was on a creative spree. Ideas coming one after the other.

Creating art journaling is fun and everybody should try it once or twice. At first, I didn’t know what I was doing. And I still don’t know what I am doing. But it works out. I work on the project until I am satisfied with how it looks. I am not an expert but I love doing it anyway.

And there you have it a new creative post. I miss creating art. Well, it only has been a week or two. But it isn’t fun to not draw. Well, I’ve been keeping myself busy organizing my art papers. And so much pre-flight planning. All I have to do is finish packing. This is the worst part of them all. Please wish me good luck.

Do not forget to give me a visit at The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active. Never forget to add me at FacebookTwitterInstagramTumblr, and on Pinterest. Well, I’ll leave now. Be nice to others and have a nice day!

See you all later and take care,
