My Favorite Art Supply Brands

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?

Welcome to my new post! Today I am talking about another favorite of mine. And at the same time refilling for a day that I wasn’t able to post. A lot has been going on. But that is not an excuse to miss out on a post.

So what do I love about art? I like to be able to create something. Able to express myself in my own way. I like the fact that I can do it anywhere and at any time. And there are so many ways to create. I can draw, paint, write or scrap.

What I do not like about art? It isn’t easy to get inspired. Finding the best art supplies is very difficult. Good art supplies are expensive. Wasting a page or a sketchbook is a nightmare.

But I can’t create amazing art if I don’t have amazing art supplies. That is why I rely on these art brands. I know they work and I know they are made for the artist. I’ve used a list of art brands along the years. But I depend on these the most.

These are my favorite art brands:

  • Crayola: It is not a professional art brand. But it is a brand I’ve been using for a very long time. Out of all the supplies they have, I prefer their colored pencils. And after so many years, I am now starting to realize how good of a brand they are. It took me so long to realize their creative potential.
  • Prismacolor: It is the second and first art brand I’ve ever tried. I started with my mom’s colored pencil set. Years later I got my own set of pencils. I am still trying to learn how to use them. Because of that, I went back to using Crayola. But I haven’t given up on them yet. At least I’ve tried their markers and water-soluble pencils.
  • Canson: When I realized that I needed a sketchbook with a good quality paper, I turned to Canson. Too bad I still haven’t even finished it or used my sketchbook. Every time I touch a Canson I always ends up unfinished. But I love the brand as it has different types of papers. My favorites are the mixed media, watercolor, and bristol.
  • Strathmore: Sometimes Canson doesn’t work as well as I want it to. So I rely on Strathmore’s papers most of the time. They do have more variety. And I tend to use their 500 Series. They are not that much into sketchbooks. But at least I am going to test out 2 out of the few they have. I want to see how great their watercolor and mixed media sketchbooks are.
  • Dylusion: I love this brand. I don’t use it for drawings. Instead, all their supplies are for my art journaling. The journals, paint pens, ink sprays, and their paints. I almost have them all. And the is how much I like this brand. I am so glad to have found this. What would I have used instead of this?
  • Moleskine & Leuchtturm 1917: Both brands are new to me and I am trying them out both. One day I will know for sure if they are good or not. Because I have them they still deserve to be in this list.

If I could I would have had all the art supplies I’ve ever wanted. But let’s be honest, I would never use them. I would give priority to my favorite ones and forget the others exist. And sometimes I want them for the novelty. It is new and different and I want to get it. Like the Illo Sketchbook. You have no idea how I talked myself out of that one.

And there you have it a list of some of my favorite art brands. Most of them are sketchbooks but that is my favorite art supply. After that, I have colored pencils. At the end, we have paints and inks. I have more but these are my top favorites.

Sorry that I didn’t post last Friday. So much is going on. With work, getting a place to live and everything else. While writing this I am feeling tired and I have to go to work soon. So I have no time to chill. If you are wondering, I am preparing a post for this next Friday. Keep an eye out for the CC Character post. Please wish me good luck, things are starting to get difficult.

Do not forget to give me a visit at The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active. Never forget to add me at FacebookTwitterInstagramTumblr, and on Pinterest. Well, I’ll leave now. Be nice to others and have a nice day!

See you all later and take care,
