Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?
Today it is another Photo Showcase. So this time I went to Granville Island. I felt like coming here again for quite a while. This is my fourth visit and finally, I went when the skies were nice and clear.
I do enjoy coming here. They have everything I like, art stores and food. If I were a rich girl I will come to dine here every day. Heck! I would do all my groceries here too. But I can understand why it is a bit more pricey than your usual grocery store. They sell fresh and local produce. Everything in the market is crafted or grown by them and not produced in a factory.
Because it was a very nice day outside. So I took my camera with me and went on a photo spree. I took pictures of every corner of Granville Island. From the Market to the Trash Mountain. There is nothing here to dislike.
I took the Sky-train to Main Street/ Science World. Then from there, I walked down the Sea Wall towards Granville Island. On a sunny day, everything seemed photogenic, so I took pictures of everything. The Seawall is a long path that goes all around Downtown, Stanley Park, False Creek and the UBC. That is a long path. I don’t think I can walk all that in a day. At least I am 2/5 from completing it.
It is a good idea to go the public market with a full wallet and an empty stomach. While I was browsing I wanted to eat everything and buy anything. There is from Asian food to European sausages. But I opted for fish and chips. Never tried it before and it was my first time. The food was good, not amazing but it is because I am not a fish person. It is rare for me to eat seafood. Next time I will give fish and chips a second try at England. Maybe there is a difference.
So there you have it a photo showcase and details about my day at Granville Island. You should definitely go there if you are ever in Vancouver. I am sure that I will come back again and again until I try everything. Now I am wondering where will my next photo showcase will be from. Well, I guess you’ll have to wait until next month. I will pick a very exciting place.
