Sketchbook Art: Celestial Izuna

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?

Welcome to my art post! This year has started and I am already making changes. New sketchbook and new mediums. My goal is to be an expert at water coloring and this is my first attempt. I’ve done it before for the paper differs.

I’ve been remaking my old drawings. And was able to fill up a whole sketchbook and more. I have five sketchbooks with only old drawings that I need to remake. I don’t mind cause I came up with the idea. Now that I am drawing them within sketchbooks with a good paper. So they are easy to archive and I can use any mediums on them.

I am happy with how the drawing looks and the colors. But this is a new sketchbook. They look different than the other watercolor artworks I’ve done before. The previous arts are loose papers Strathmore Watercolor 500 Series. This is a Strathmore Watercolor 400 Series. So the paper is different and I need to get used to it.

I have a whole sketchbook full of drawings. Enough for me to learn how to use it. At least I am getting the hang of it. I have to be patient with each drawing. And work on it bit by bit.

These are all the supplies that I’ve used:

  • Journal: Strathmore Watercolor Journal 400 Series
  • Liner: Deleter Neopiko Line-3
  • Watercolor: Kuretake Zig Clean Color Real Brush
  • Highlight: Sakura Gelly Roll

I am looking back at this artwork and I can improve this a little better. Not proud of the dark borders. So after this, I will fix it a little bit. If everything comes out fine, I will make a sketchbook tour out of it. I’ve seen artists do it, and I want to do one too. After all, I have a ton of sketchbooks to show.

I do want to get better at drawing and at coloring. But it takes time, and I don’t have much of it sometimes. I am lucky that I have four days off in a row. But I’ve spent it all working on other things that were more urgent. Like writing a blog post, posting art online you know the usual stuff.

I’ve noticed that I like drawing more than coloring. But I do understand that a picture is not done until it is not colored. That is something I’ve used to do in the past. I’ve made more drawings than colored ones. That is why after so many years. I am drawings them again.

Some of them need fixing and others don’t. But the older they are the more I need to improve them. The majority of these drawings are from when I was in high school. So I was in a get good track back then. I am surprised how fast I got better after eight grade. Which no other drawing is older than that.

And there you have it, a new sketchbook artwork. After this, there is so much work to do today. Sketchbooks to draw, drawings to color and scan. It is endless. I am not complaining. I can’t believe that my work pilled up like this. That is why I am all doing this. So please wish me good luck.

Do not forget to give me a visit at The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active in. Never forget to add me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and Pinterest. Well, I’ll leave now. Be nice to others and have a nice day!

See you all later and take care,

from Ijiserure.
