Hello everybody! How are you all doing?

Today I want to post another artwork. This art took me the longest to finish. Not because it was difficult. Is because I was so busy with other things to even have time to finish it. This drawing was going to go before the Butterfly. I am actually publishing my art in the order in which they are in my sketchbook. But now I messed it up with this one.

So today I present to you these college girls. Why did I made this drawing? When I was on my second semester in university, I got tired of having to pick out clothes every morning. For so long since I was in pre-school, I used a uniform to go to school. I’ve never had to wear normal clothes unless there was a special event or holiday going on. After I graduated high school, I was happy to not to wear uniforms anymore. But I was wrong, I missed it so much. I don’t have time to be thing about what am I going to wear every morning. It got to a point where I didn’t care what I would wear anymore. I’ve repeated clothes for class. I also created my own uniform and I even starting caring again and dressed up nice once in a while. But at the same time I would fantasize how would my university uniform would look like. And at the same time how the other universities uniforms would be like.

Instead of making my own university’s uniform, I made the others. I call them the rival universities, which I never applied to them. There are more than these universities in the country, but three is the right amount. These universities are from left to right: the University of Sacred Heart (Universidad del Sagrado Corazon), the Polytechnic University (Universidad Politecnica) and the Inter American University (Universidad Interamericana). All three of them are private universities. The university I go to, is a public and by that cheap. But it’s harder to get in to.

First I want to talk about Sacred Heart, they are an expensive university. I think they specializes in communication and the media. If you want to be a writer or work in communications, then you should go there. Maybe they have other academic programs, but I don’t know. Their main color is wine and gold. Their mascot is a dolphin. It is the oldest university in the whole island.

Then we have the Polytechnic University.  From all three this has to be the most expensive one, and the smallest university. Their colors are blue and yellow. And they have a beaver as their mascot? We don’t have that kind of animal here! How do they have a foreign animal representing them? They specializes in architecture and engineering. I don’t know the rest. I have a friend that studies there. He said that they charge for almost everything. His classes take most of his money and maybe more.

Then the last of the three the Inter American University. This place has many campuses around the island. They are the cheapest university among the private ones. Their colors are green and yellow. One of their mascots is a tiger. I think they specializes in optometry, law, and aeronautics. I am not sure, that is what their wiki page says. This university is also my mom’s alma mater. She graduated as a teacher in one of their campuses.

When I made these uniforms I didn’t gave it too much thought about their universities. But I wouldn’t mind wearing a Sagrado or Polytechnic uniform for a day. Those two uniforms are my favorite of the three. If you are wondering why didn’t I made uniforms for my own university, I have. I even made three of them. One for my most influential campuses. I will explain about that next time.

And there you have it another artwork from my sketchbook. This week I am feeling a bit tense as I present my last work for photography class. There are other things that I rather be doing right now. But my priority is to get that project done already. After Thursday, my semester will be over. I wish it would come sooner. But at the same time things are getting out of control. And I don’t know what to do with myself. I will now go and edit my photographs. If I still have time left, then work on my next post. I hope you all stay with me for my next post and take care.
