Sketchbook Art: Desire

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?

Welcome to my new art post! I am happy to be posting one of my favorite drawings from my watercolor sketchbook. I’ve waited for this day to come and now it is here. It’s been a tough week so far. But I am using this time to work harder than ever and complete some unfinished works.

It has been a while since the last time I colored one of my drawings. I have been so focused on drawing that I forgot what coloring was. But it is okay. This artwork proves that I haven’t lost my touch yet. I have to practice more if I want to be like one of the big shots out there.

I am so happy about this drawing. When I drew her I didn’t even have the Zig Clean Color Pens yet. And this is how I imagined her in my head while doing so. I like how she looks but you all know that I am never satisfied. Cause I know that I can do better and can make her look better. But I do hope you like it.

The supplies I used are my top four from any other artwork I’ve done:

  • White Gelly Roll Pen: for highlights
  • Back Deleter Pens: for inking
  • Strathmore 400 Series Watercolor Journal: best watercolor journal so far.
  • Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens: markers and watercolors in one.

So who is this character?

Her name is Desire. And she is a magical girl. Like her name, her power is a combination of Love and Wish. Those are the names of two other magical girls. You can get a slight idea of what is going on. But I don’t want to spoil any more than that.

The story is about magical girls in the real world. They fight evil and creatures invisible to human eyes. Instead of requesting a heroine, they sent two. Because teamwork makes the dream work. And because the previous heroine was a solo warrior and she failed her mission. She saved everyone but she lost the battle.

It is my fault for now showing you the other girls before this one. But this is a character I wanted to draw for so long. And there is still one more like her. Then I have to start drawing the main two and the extra. If I have sketchbooks to make this possible.

Now that I’ve thought about this story while making this post, I feel like working on it all over again. It was interesting how it all started and then it became this story. I remember working on it during my first year of University. That is almost ten years ago. Now I do feel old. But at least I am young at heart.

So I am trapped at home most of the time. And I have enough time to work on posts, art, drawing and my website. If only I had a desk and a chair. But what I meant to say is that I will be taking this opportunity to work as hard as I can. I want to practice, finish and start new projects. Get excited about what is soon to come from me.

And there you have it a new art post! I should be working harder now that I have all this free time. So far I’ve caught up in my inking and drawings. Can I do so for everything else? Well, time will tell. But I do miss going outside. There were so many places I wanted to go and visit. Now I can’t until further notice. Please wish me good luck! I hope I don’t get cabin fever.

Do not forget to give me a visit at The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active in. Never forget to add me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and Pinterest. Well, I’ll leave now. Be nice to others and have a nice day!

See you all later and take care,

from Ijiserure.
