Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?
Today it is a new art post. Picture by picture I post my way through my blue sketchbook. I have so many drawings and I am not stopping. Last week I bought two new sketchbooks while at the same time I am working on my watercolor journal. So there will be more art in the future.
So who is this lovely character?
Her name is Hoseki Chou, it’s translation is Butterfly Jewel. I like giving my character’s interesting names. You can get an idea of that with my CC Characters. She is a virtual singer. Her musical performances are all online because she is too shy to around sing around people. But at the same time, it allows everyone anywhere to see her sing.
What is her story about?
After graduating from Performing Arts School, she tries to start her singing career. But then she fails in the real world for not being bold enough. Almost at the edge of giving up, she created a fake persona. This persona would have all the traits and qualities that she needed to become a true artist. The best way to get out there was showing her talents online.
Viewer by viewer she became more famous by the second. She was so popular worldwide that live performances were not possible. She didn’t want to sing in public and the fans didn’t want to break her virtual illusion. At the same time, it was very hard for her to pull off her look. In the beginning, she wore a cheap costume and a wig to hide her real appearance. Now she looks like everything is real with some video editing and filters.
The only thing she wanted was to sing and live off from it. She didn’t know that no matter how good her talent was her personality was not good enough to get her hired. He shy demeanor always made her look like an amateur. Every agency would tell her that she was only good enough for street shows and bars. But they were only humoring her. Her type of music wasn’t fit for that kind of ambient.
And there you have it, another art post. I came out of work and straight to writing this post. Sorry for posting this so late. I was close enough of giving in to temptation and not writing anything at all. But that is how it starts. You say no today and then you’ll say now for a whole week. Until it reaches a point where you want to stop because you have missed so many days. While writing this I got a brilliant idea. I want to redo these drawing and coloring them in a different way. I’ll do a few changes now that my drawing style has evolved.
