Things To Do In: Pompeii

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?

Welcome to my new travel post. Today I want to talk about another stop I want to make during my trip around Europe. Planning this trip is so complicated. There are so many places I want to visit and you can’t do it all in one go. But I couldn’t leave Pompeii out of that list.

Again I post about a place I want to go to. This time I want to see Pompeii. I remember learning about this place in class one time. Now I want to go there and see it for myself. I am lucky that my trip to Europe includes a stop to Pompeii.

All I know so far is that the town it’s buried beneath volcano aches. At first, I thought it was an excavation site. Or a museum displaying the past. But I didn’t know there was a full town to look at. You go into houses, theaters, baths and so much more. It is a dug up city from the past.

This is all the places you can visit in Pompei:

  • Amphitheater
  • Antiquarium
  • Basilica
  • Casa della Venere in Conchiglia
  • Cryptoporticus house
  • Forum

  • House of Menander
  • House of Siricus
  • House of the Faun
  • House of the Gilded Cupids
  • House of the Lovers
  • House of the Silver Wedding
  • House of the Tragic Poet
  • House of the Vettii

  • Ruins of Pompeii
  • Stabian Baths
  • Teatro Grande
  • Teatro Piccolo
  • Tempio di Apollo
  • Tempio di Giove Meilichio
  • Tempio di Iside

  • Theaters
  • Thermopolium
  • Triangular Forum
  • Via Appia
  • Via Stabiana
  • Via dell’Abbondanza
  • Villa dei Misteri
  • Villa of Diomedes

There are so many things to see when you go to Pompei. I am not sure if a day would be enough. This stop is only a day trip. It all depends how many people are there and how fast is the store. So you have to make the best of it.

Hearing the story of how Pompeii came to be is very sad and unexpected. So the nearby volcano, Mt. Vesuvius erupted. People went to their homes seeking shelter. The town got buried in aches killing them in the process. That is a horrible way to die.

Living near a volcano is scary. But that isn’t stopping me from going to Pompeii. I have huge respect towards volcanoes and I don’t want to climb any of them. But Pompeii is close to one but not on it. So I am safe and there is a small chance that it would erupt during my visit.

So there you have it, I can’t speak more of a place I’ve never been to. And I am dying to travel again. All I can do it wait. There is so much I want to do, and there I a lot I can do. But nothing is more important to me right now than wanting to go outside and do something fun. So please wish me good luck!

Do not forget to give me a visit at The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active in. Never forget to add me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and Pinterest. Well, I’ll leave now. Be nice to others and have a nice day!

See you all later and take care,

from Ijiserure.
