Things to eat in: Vancouver

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?

Today it is a things to eat post. Because I am currently in Vancouver I would want to talk more about it. If I am going to integrate myself into their culture, I would have to eat their food to understand them better.

Vancouver has a lot of cultures and ethnicity in a very small place. You can crave for anything and you will find it. But we can not forget that that Canada has it’s own food and dishes. With the short amount of time I’ve been here I still haven’t tasted everything Canada has to offer.

These are the food I want to try in Vancouver, Canada:
  • Poutine
  • Montreal Smoked meat Sandwich
  • Montreal-style bagels
  • Peameal Bacon
  • Nanaimo bar
  • Bannock
  • Bannock dogs
  • Bannock burgers
  • Tourtiere
  • All Dressed potato chips
  • Ketchup Chips
  • President’s Choice Potato Chips
  • President’s Choice Ice cream
  • Maple Syrup
  • Coffee Crisp
  • Crush Cream Soda
  • Tim Hortons
  • Kraft Dinner
  • Beaver Tails
  • Pate Chinois
  • Bloody Caesars
As of now I have eaten a poutine. Which are fries drenched in gravy and cheese curds on top. It actually tastes good. I bought it at ‘Mean Poutine’ in Nelsons Street. I also tasted the poutine made in ‘El Furniture Warehouse’. It is much more flavorful than ‘Mean Poutine’. But Mean at least they allows me to add things into my poutine. They are both good. I will have to eat around to find my perfect poutine.

For the past days I’ve been eating bagels for breakfast. I am not sure if the bagels are Montreal style or not. If they are then they taste quite good. If not then I am willing to find some and eat one. I still haven’t eaten a regular breakfast yet. But when I do, the first thing I am getting is some hot chocolate and some waffles smothered with maple syrup.

Yesterday I went to the supermarket for the first time. I want browsing to see what Canada sells. Now I know I can prepare rice. I took a look down the chip aisle, there were sold out of ketchup potato chips. I guess people like it more than I thought. Next time I will make sure to buy some.

I have visited a ‘Tim Hortons’ twice already. I am at one right now. Drinking a warm hot chocolate and tasting four different Timbits. Which are the little round donut balls. I’ve also tried their Vanilla Coffee. It was good but it takes time to find the best coffee. Even though I am not much of a coffee drinker. If you ever go to a ‘Tim Hortons’ try out the Regular croissant and the Honey Dip Cruller. Those were the ones I ate the first time I went there.

Staying at the hostel is costing me a lot. I have to go out every day to get something to eat. Luckily they do have a kitchen. So it I ever have the need for cooking something for myself, then I will prepare some kraft dinner. Back at home I used to make this a lot. Until I learned how to make my own mac & cheese.

There you have it, another things to eat post. Thank goodness that I ate before writing this. I wouldn’t be able to handle writing about food while being hungry. I have done this before and know how it feels. Just in case, I was not sponsored. I wanted you to know what and where I ate so you could understand what I am writing about. So I am now enjoying my day doing nothing and feeling relaxed. So far I like being in Vancouver. I recommend you come and visit.

Do not forget to give me visit at my new website The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active. Never forget to add meat FacebookTwitterInstagramTumblr, and on Pinterest. Well I’ll leave now. Be nice to others and have a nice day!

See you all later and take care,

from Ijiserure.
