Art: Izuna

Hello Everybody! How are you all been up to?

Today I want to show you another drawing of mine. But this one is different. Because I will also be showing you all the art supplies I got for Christmas.

So with this drawing I was testing out my new art supplies. Black pens for the drawing lines. Inks for the background. White ink for white details. Markers for skin.

I want to get better with my drawings this year. So I invested in getting some better art materials. I will still use my Colored Pencils. And I will mix it up with some watercolors as well.

From now on I will be in an all trial and error process. Well it will be that way until I find the best method for me to use. I bet you don’t see many artist’s artworks during this process. You only get to see their end products. They seemed like they are flawless, but like any human being, we make mistakes. It is a step we must take so we can find success or perfection.

So here is the art haul I got for the holidays:

Neopiko Pens: I wanted to try them as soon as possible. To be honest these pens worked very well. While using them I was thinking about replacing my Sakura Micron for these. These are the best choice I have made. I would recommend them to anyone anytime.

Copic Ciao Skin Tone Markers: I’ve learned that painting skin tones is a lot more easier if done with markers. But at the same time it also becomes a challenge when blending. I have a long way to go to know the proper way on how to use them.

Strathmore Watercolor Journal: Finally I made the transition from regular paper to watercolor. I even got myself a journal to prove it.

Canson Montval & Canson Bristol paper: I got these two special papers to try my art on. I want to make sure that I am using the best of the best. You need good paper that can support your medium.

Chameleon Pens: This a competition between the Copics versus the Chameleons. I have to test them out and learn how to use them first. Then I’ll be able to decide which one is best for me. I don’t care much either way. They are both good quality, expensive and refillable. The difference between them is that one brand has more markers than the other.

Dylusion Paint Pens and Paints: These I wont be using them in my drawings. But I do have other creative plans for them. Now that I will start doing some art journaling, I will need these kind of supplies at hand.

3-Way Arm Grip: This has nothing to do with drawing and painting. But filming is another form of art. I need a tripod for my action camera.

What else is my Holiday Art Haul?

I got myself some white ink for those extra white details. I was running out of Sakura Micron pens, so I bought some more. I even ordered the Pigma Sensei set. It comes with a mechanical pencil. I also have the paint blending tool from Tim Holtz.

So there you have it, a new art post for all you to enjoy. Will all these art supplies, I can guarantee that 2018 will be a very creative year. As you can see I couldn’t resist myself from trying them out. I did have fun working with them.

Do not forget to give me visit at my new website The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page.
