image Art Shading

Hello Everybody! How are you doing?

Today I want to talk about a very old class artwork. I made this artwork for a class, a long time ago. It was when I was starting on my Graphic Design degree. So I wanted to show you all, how did I learn how to do some shading.

A long time ago I used to color without adding any shading into my drawings. I used to thing that it was too difficult and I did not understand it. Doing these kind of drawing in class is what made me get better. Sooner or later I started to do some of my own shading. Now I have caught the hang of it.

How did I understood how to create shading? Well, I first look where the “sun” or the source of “light” could be. From there I imagine that the closer you are to the light the brighter those parts are. If you were not facing the light then the darker those parts would be. Also you can’t go from light to dark. There needs to be a transition of colors. Like a process of light getting darker and darker. That is how I visualize things when I am shading.

It is a good thing that I learned how to do some shading. Now my drawings look a lot better. I leaned all this in a fundamental arts class in the University. That has to be the first time that I have ever taken an actual art class. All the things I know I’ve learned it on my own. So I am glad that the class was part of the graphic design curriculum.

I am sorry this post is shorter than usual. There are things that happened recently. And I need to clear my mind. The news came out yesterday. I was very eager to tell you on what has been going on. But like I said before, there are a tone of things I need to take care of.

The only thing that I can mention is that I get to go back to class again. Also that the plans that I have been working on for a while was already approved. I wanna talk about it, but I will leave that big news for another post.

So there you have it. I showed you how I learned how to make shading. It is not as hard as you think. These are one of the things that wish I’ve learned sooner. But there is no helping it. I am not claiming that I am the master of it. There are a ton of things that I need to learn.

Remember to visit me now at my new website The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active like Follow my blog with Bloglovin. Never forget to add me at Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and on Pinterest. Well I’ll leave now. Be nice to others and have a nice day!

See you all later and take care,

from Ijiserure.
