Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?
Today is the day to talk about art. It is something that I am currently struggling with. Sometimes it is hard to be working, traveling and creating art at the same time. And time does not want to cooperate with me at all. But I always keep in mind or in my little notebook all my creative plans.
Even if I never get to fulfill my creative plans, at least I have it written down. It would be dreadful to have great ideas and then forgetting about them. So I wherever I am no matter what I am doing, I take my notebook with me. Then I write down my ideas when it comes to me. But I sometimes forget anyways, about having my notebook with me or writing things down.
So about those projects and ideas I have, they are plans that I want to create. Most of these projects have been on hold for quite a while. Either I don’t have the time or I am not in the right place. As soon as I return back home there are some projects that I want to start working on. That standby has been going on for way too long.
This is a list of projects/ideas that I want to get done as soon as possible:
Dylussions Creative Journal: I’ve realized that I want to do more art journaling. But I need time, supplies and a good desk. My plan to fill up this journal with many creative artworks as I can. As of right now I am writing down my ideas, and starting on the basic prep work of each page. But as soon as I can I will start journaling, and whatever else I can think of with this journal.
Watercolor Sketchbook Drawings: For a very long time I have been wanting to recreate my old drawings. But at the same time, I’ve wanted to start doing mixed media drawings. That is why I want to use a watercolor sketchbook. My idea is to use markers, ink pens, watercolor, colored pencils and whatever else it’s necessary to make the picture look great. I do have the sketchbook with me but I do not have all my mixed media supplies with me.
Art Practice: Well I have been drawing for many years now. And it is time for me to improve my skills. So I want to dedicate some valuable time to improve my art style. As you all know I’ve learned how to draw differently. I still have a tough time when I have to draw the body or a character base. So I do need to go back and start relearning how to draw from the basics.
Iji-Art Color ArtBook: This has been on hiatus for a while now. I have to publish this soon. But first I want to edit a few things from the cover and that is it. But it is a lot easier said than done. This is one of those jobs that you say you’ll do but end up pushing it back for later. And this is how it has taken me so long to get this book done.
Smashbook: I have many Smashbooks, and you know how much I like them. But I need to sit down and finish one. Even though they all come with different themes and topics, most of the times don’t have a clue what to do with them. All I know is that I want to work on scrapbooking.
Room Remodeling: This is a huge project which I need to be back at home to work on it. I have plans for remodeling my bedroom. I want to turn it into an art studio with a bed. It is not something that complicated. All I want to do is, move my furniture and paint my walls. My idea is to make it look like a place where I can work in.
Workstation Build: This is also part of the remodeling. But this is a separate phase. It doesn’t matter if I can get part one done. This phase is very important on its own. You all know how much I complain that I don’t have a desk to work on. So I am finally going to get myself a desk. A large flat surface where I can draw and paint. Besides a desk, I have some important plans, which involves me getting a desktop computer. But that is for the near future.
Being an artist is a lot harder than people think. Not only do I draw, I also have to plan for future artworks. And if that isn’t enough, I always need to keep practicing. All these things take time in the day. Is not like I can dedicate an hour to each of them. Doing that is like not doing anything at all. The least amount of time I need to get something started is 2 hours and a half. And you think I am exaggerating when I say there isn’t enough time to do anything anymore.
And there you have it, a new creative diary. There is so much I want to do, and for so long I’ve felt very limited. Now that I have plans of remodeling my room into an art studio, I am hoping I can do more things than ever before. But some of these plans are on hold until I get back home. Even if I am itching to get things done now. Well, we’ll see what will happen soon. Things are bounds to change all the time. I hope all these struggles and changes are for a good cause.
