Sketchbook Art: Tsuki, Hoshi & Tempi

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing today?

Welcome to my new art post! After so long, I am finally able to color this picture. This drawing is one of the first ones in my blue sketchbook. And their time has come for me to work on them. I am proud of how it turned out. But I’ll use a better paper next time.

So I’ve been working a lot on my art. And one of them was to color some drawings in my Blue Sketchbook. That is when I discovered the magic in my Crayola colored pencils. People say coloring is easy. But it takes me so long color one drawing. It is tiring but I love the process either way.

My purpose was to color this image with a bit of watercolor. And the sketchbook page couldn’t handle it. The images on the back side of the drawing were showing and it ruined the whole drawings. So I redrew it on a watercolor paper. And I colored this image only using my watercolor markers.

I like how it looks. The paper gave me a few issues. But I managed to fix them. This is a lesson for the next time. Use a paper better than the Canson XL Watercolor paper. It kinda works, but you have to stay away from the edges. At least it did its job.

Who are these girls?

From left to right they are, Tsuki, Tempi and Hoshi. They are the moon, sun and stars. The Sun is a star too, lets ignore that fact for now. They are like my version of the Norn or the Moirai. Urd, Skuld and Verdandi. They are the oracle.

They don’t have their own story. They are more like side characters to someone else’s story. All I wrote was, that they keep watch of the holy lands while their creator is not present. Also, they have been taking care of Lumina, Darcia, and Prism. The fairy sisters.

I will think about making them their story or not. But I’ve been thinking about Tempi, the yellow one. She gets relieved from her job and restarts a whole new life far away. And Tsuki and Hoshi take on the responsibilities after Tempi is gone. So yeah, I can think of a story for them. Very simple and not that complicated.

The art supplies I have used are:

  • Kuretake Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens: I love these pens. They are water based so I use them as watercolors. The ink is very pigmented, that is why I live them so much.
  • Deleter Neopiko Pens: This is that I use for the black lines.
  • Canson XL Watercolor Paper: It is good for beginners, but I need something better than this.
  • White Gell Pen: I use this for highlights and white spots. And for other creative details too.

And there you have it, new artwork from me. I have to make more. I am never done with these. I am excited cause I am getting anew sketchbook in the mail today. Yes, I still have my journal addiction. I always need more. My mission is to fill it up as soon as possible. But at the same time creating some amazing artworks too. Please, wish me good luck.
