Things To Do In: Austin

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?

Welcome to my new travel post! Today I am going to be starting another set of travel places. I am doing something in-between months. So I don’t spend all my ideas in six months. During even months I will be talking about cities I want to visit in the USA. While on odd months I am going to post about my travels, day trips in Europe and the language list. This year, Stella Maris Travel is going to get a lot of content.

I already posted that I wanted to go to New York. And I’ve talked about the things to do in San Antonio. My next stop on my list would be Austin, Texas. Right now I am two hours away drive from Austin. And I can’t wait to visit during the summer. Before I do anything, I want to talk about all the things you can do there.

All the places you can visit in Austin, Texas:

  • Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge
  • Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail
  • Austin Aquarium
  • Austin Nature & Science Center
  • Austin Zoo
  • Barton Creek Greenbelt
  • Barton Springs Municipal Pool

  • Bullock Texas State History Museum
  • Cathedral of Junk
  • Circuit of the Americas
  • East 6th Street
  • Emma Long Metropolitan Park
  • Hippie Hollow Park

  • Lady Bird Lake
  • Lake Austin
  • Lake Travis
  • Mayfield Park and Nature Preserve
  • McKinney Falls State Park

  • Texas Capitol
  • Texas Governor’s Mansion
  • Twin Falls
  • UT Tower
  • Umlauf Sculpture Garder & Museum
  • Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve
  • Zilker Botanical Garden
  • Zilker Nature Preserve

There is a lot to do there. To be honest, I had to stop adding more to the list cause I thought it was getting too long. But at least we know we won’t get bored at all. The most common attractions are the parks and lakes. I am surprised at how many green places there are in Austin. And I like that a lot. That means we get to spend more time outdoors.

From this list, there are my top three places I want to visit. I have to go to Barton Springs. I’ve heard of it a lot and I want to experience it for myself. The Mayfield Park and Nature Preserve, a perfect place to take pictures. And also Lake Travis, I’ve seen some photos and it took my breath away. I can’t wait to go there this Summer. Even though I can go there anytime.

Traveling around the US is going to be exciting. I live in the States now, so driving to other cities won’t be that hard. All I have to do now is make a list of all the places I want to see in the US. Well, I’ll try with my top favorites first and then work my way towards the rest. I can’t wait until I can start traveling again.

So like you’ve heard I will be going to Austin during the Summer. But it is all for another reason. I will squeeze in some attractions to see while I am there. And like I also said before, it is almost a two-hour drive there. I should be going there more often. My job keeps me grounded in one place. If I could I would and I want to someday, which is soon. So please continue wishing me good luck!
