Things To Do In: Santo Domingo

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing?

Today is a new travel post. I am taking a break from Europe and moving to the Caribbean. Soon I will be traveling again. I am going to spend the holidays in the Dominican Republic. It is odd to go to the beach on Christmas. So before I do, I want to know all the things that I can do there.

I’ve visited Santo Domingo on many occasions. But it has been more than five years since I last been there. I am so excited to go back, especially during the holidays. I recently came back from Canada, so going on another trip so soon is very surprising to me. That is why I need to prepare myself. There are so many places to see and revisit. I want to record it all and take countless photos too.

Dominican Republic is an island country in the Caribbean. It shares the island of Hispañola with Haiti. It is located between Cuba and Puerto Rico. A flight from Puerto Rico to its capital would take only one hour or less. But I can’t wait. I am more excited than you can imagine. I hope I can do more than the things that I am planning.

These are the things you can do at the Santo Domingo:

  • Amber World Museum
  • Boca Chica
  • Caribbean Splash Water Park
  • Casa España
  • Choco Museum Santo Domingo
  • Colonial Zone
  • Columbus Lighthouse
  • Columbus’ House
  • Convento de Los Dominicos
  • Dominican Republic National Aquarium
  • El Conde Street
  • First Cathedral of the Americas
  • Flag Square of Santo Domingo
  • Fortaleza Ozama
  • Independence Park
  • Larimar Museum
  • Male and Female Obelisks
  • Malecón
  • Mercado Colón
  • Museum of the Royal Houses
  • National Botanical Garden
  • National Palace
  • National Zoo
  • Ozama River
  • Parque Mirador Del Norte
  • Plaza España
  • Quisqueya Stadium
  • Saint Francis Monastery
  • The National Pantheon
  • The Three Eyes National Park
So this is the list of all the things I want to do in the capital Santo Domingo. The island isn’t that huge. There are many more attractions to visit hours away from the capital. You can visit anywhere on a day trip. I would like to visit Los Altos de Chavón at La Romana and the basilica cathedral in Higuey. There is so much you can do there. Next time, I should write down a list of the things that I want to do around the island.

And there you have it. It is already December and I am feeling the holiday mood now. There is so much to do before my trip. I have to pack and prepare my blog posts. But I know myself very well. I will leave it all for the very last minute. So much to do in such a little time. And I know I won’t do any of it. I might do something else instead. Well, at least I won’t overwork myself for anything.  All I want for this Christmas is fun and a sense of adventure.
Do not forget to give me a visit at my website The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active. Never forget to add me at FacebookTwitterInstagramTumblr, and on Pinterest. Well, I’ll leave now. Be nice to others, have a nice day, and take care!

See you all later and Happy Holidays,

from Ijiserure.
