Things To Eat In: Dubrovnik

Hello Everybody! How are you all doing today?

Today I am still in the city of Dubrovnik. This time I will talk about food. Because trying a country’s local dishes can also teach you about their culture. Things to see, do, and eat, are the basic goals of any travel. And when I travel,  I do not want to miss a thing.

I always remind you all how much of a picky eater I am. I say this because Dubrovnik is a coastal city. That means that they consume a lot of ‘seafood’. Up to this date, I continue avoiding seafood into my diet. So far I can eat shrimp, salmon, and tuna. I am not curious enough to try anything else.

These are the foods that I am interested in trying:

  • Arancini (candied orange peel)
  • Black Risotto
  • Burek sir
  • Križevačko Tamno Pivo
  • Makaruli Šporki (Dirty Macaroni)
  • Olives
  • Pašticada
  • Plavac mali
  • Pošip Wine
  • Rakija
  • Rozata
  • Strukli (strudel)
  • The Ston Cake
  • Zelena Menestra (The Green Stew)
  • Zmajsko Pale Ale

This is the list of things that I want to try. There is a seafood dish on the list. I am still not sure if I want to try it or not. Well, we don’t know what could happen when I go there. I did try the takoyaki. It was good, but the octopus inside wasn’t. I would eat an empty takoyaki if there such thing.

Out of all the things on the list, I do want to try the ‘Dirty Macaroni’. I love pasta, I can’t help it. If you mix seafood and pasta, I might eat it. There are a few wines on the list too. I’ve decided that alcohol is also part of a culture’s cuisine.

And there you have it, a new ‘Things to eat’ post. I am so hungry right now. Why do I keep writing these posts on an empty stomach? I am so sorry that this post is very short. As of right now, I am packing all my belongings. I can’t believe that I brought so much. On my next trip, I won’t make this mistake ever again.

Do not forget to give me a visit at my new website The Senspirational ArtRoom. All I need is your support and now you can do so by going to my Patreon page. Or go to see my older drawings at DeviantArt. There are also many other sites that I am currently active. Never forget to add me on FacebookTwitterInstagramTumblr, and on Pinterest. Well, I’ll leave now. Be nice to others and have a nice day!

See you all later and take care,
